What Chelsea have already been told about Alexander Isak, Arsenal received the same message

TBR Football can now exclusively share what both Chelsea and Arsenal have been told about Alexander Isak.

The Newcastle No.14 is arguably front and centre of the biggest saga in the transfer window right now, with his future up in the air.

TBR Football understand Isak left Newcastle shocked by demanding £300,000-a-week to sign a new contract on Tyneside, amid strong interest from Liverpool.

The Sweden international has a deal with the Magpies running until June 2028.

Along with Liverpool, two other Premier League sides in Arsenal and Chelsea hold an interest in Alexander Isak – but both have already been sent a strong message.

Exclusive: Chelsea and Arsenal both told Alexander Isak prefers Liverpool

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – can confirm the Blues and the Gunners were told months ago that the Swede is focused on a move to Liverpool, if he does depart Newcastle.

We understand Chelsea and Arsenal have not even tried to make a serious push for Isak due to this stance, with other options pursued instead.

Arsenal are close to signing Viktor Gyokeres – who plays with the Newcastle talisman for Sweden – in a £62.4m move from Sporting CP following lengthy negotiations.

At Chelsea, £90m has been spent to sign two new strikers in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, so both London clubs have respected the wishes of Isak.

Alexander Isak has already shared what he thinks about the style of football at Liverpool

Isak has already spoken about Liverpool – suggesting that he could quite feasibly see himself playing under Arne Slot as he admires the Dutchman’s style of play.

Ahead of the Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Newcastle last season, the 25-year-old said: “I really enjoy the games against Liverpool, because I think they’re not too different to ourselves, a high-pressing team and a direct team, which can lead to many counter-opportunities, and that’s the game I like.”

Isak also once responded “Anfield is good, very good” when asked to name his favourite stadiums during a chat with Sky Sports.

The man born in Solna is quite evidently an admirer of Liverpool.
