What Bukayo Saka was saying to Harry Kane at full-time after Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

Sky Sports reporter Paul Gilmour suggested what Bukayo Saka appeared to be telling Harry Kane after the full-time whistle after Arsenal drew with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

There is everything to play for heading into the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final, with Leandro Trossard equalising during the second-half.

Arsenal will perhaps feel that they should have even more. There was a controversial incident late on when Bukayo Saka went down inside the penalty area after clashing with Manuel Neuer.

Saka was clearly left furious that he was not awarded a penalty. Replays showed that there was contact between the Arsenal star and the Bayern goalkeeper.

What Bukayo Saka was saying to Harry Kane after Arsenal draw

There is a debate over whether Saka was fouled, or, in fact, made sure that he was fouled. But obviously, the Arsenal talisman – who opened the scoring on the night – was furious to not be given the penalty.

, Saka was seemingly making his point to Harry Kane after the full-time whistle as he chatted to his England teammate.

“Saka convinced it was a penalty. He makes that point to the referee who gestures for him to go away,” he said.

“There is now a warm embrace between him and Kane. He appears to be telling his England team mate it was a penalty, and points to the area.”

Gunners have point to prove in second-leg

Arsenal may now be slight underdogs heading into the second-leg. Bayern proved a point with their performance at the Emirates. And they have so much experience in this competition.

Gary Neville suggested that that experience may see Thomas Tuchel’s side overcome Arsenal. And Mikel Arteta’s men looked more uncomfortable than they have looked a long time.

Arteta has done a brilliant job of making his players believe that the world is against them during his tenure. So you would not be at all surprised if he pointed to that penalty incident as something which should give them all of the motivation they could possibly need in the second-leg.
