What Bayern Munich’s scouts thought of Radu Dragusin’s personality
Tottenham have signed Radu Dragusin.
Spurs made the Romanian defender their second signing of the January transfer window earlier this week, but they had to battle to get their man.
Indeed, Bayern Munich were said to be very keen on Dragusin before his move to Tottenham, and according to Raphael Honigstein, speaking on the , Bayern were really keen on the player because they’d had reports that he was a very good professional and an outstanding character.

Bayern thought Dragusin’s personality was spot on
Honigstein shared what he knows about the defender.
“Bayern were prepared to pay bigger wages, and part of the reason why Bayern were so interested in him was because they had reports that he was a really outstanding professional and character, the fact they didn’t get him backs that up, it shows Spurs have a real top class professional and human being playing for them,” Honigstein said.
Exciting
This is exactly what Tottenham fans will have wanted to hear.
In Ange Postecoglou’s team, perhaps more than any other, personality is so important.
A real team spirit has been built at Spurs over the past few months, and any new additions need to buy into this.
Dragusin, by the sounds of it, is the model professional and a brilliant character to have around the dressing room, and that should bode well for Tottenham as they look to build a solid spine of players who gel together well and work incredibly hard for the team.
Of course, it remains to be seen how Dragusin will cope with the demands of Premier League football, but it does sound as though this could be a very promising signing as Spurs push for a place in next season’s Champions League.
Tottenham might’ve pulled of a transfer masterstroke here.
