What Barcelona sources are saying about Raphinha after claims Tottenham could bid for him

Sources at Barcelona are expecting ‘good offers’ for Raphinha this summer amid claims Tottenham Hotspur could bid for the winger.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have been heavily linked with a move for a new forward player in recent weeks.

Despite the signing of Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig, speculation has already ramped up around the possibility of Tottenham targeting a new wide player.

There have been claims that Spurs are ready to launch a summer bid to sign Raphinha.

The north Londoners were also keen on the Brazilian before he made the switch to Camp Nou from Leeds United back in 2022.

Fabrizio Romano claimed just yesterday that the 27-year-old has plenty of admirers at Tottenham.

And as Raphinha continues to struggle for regular starts in Spain, it would appear that Barcelona are expecting offers for their Brazilian winger.

What Barcelona sources are saying about Tottenham target Raphinha

reports that Raphinha is one of the ‘most feasible’ options for Barca to sell during the summer window.

It’s noted that Lamine Yamal’s rise this term has dampened hopes of Raphinha nailing down a place in the starting XI.

Indeed, this has left Barca with three options when it comes to Raphinha – move him out to the left-hand side, keep him as a back-up option or offload him in the summer.

And the outlet claims the Catalan club are leaning towards the sale of the Brazil star.

While Raphinha isn’t pushing for an exit, sources at Barca believe ‘good offers’ could arrive from the Premier League or Saudi Arabia this summer.

It just hasn’t worked out for Raphinha at Barca so far and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him move on this summer.

He will undoubtedly have plenty of teams in England ready to take a chance on him given his exceptional spell at Leeds.

Spurs are in need of extra quality out wide and they currently lack a player who excels in 1v1 situations.

But in our view, Raphinha would offer Tottenham a similar option to that of Dejan Kulusevski and the club may be better suited going for a player like Pedro Neto.
