What Aston Villa fans noticed about John McGinn during Norwich game
A number of Aston Villa fans have waxed lyrical about John McGinn following his performance at Norwich on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old was one of several Villans who impressed in the Premier League match against Dean Smith’s new side.
McGinn almost scored a world-class effort from 30 yards, though Tim Krul was equal to it.

The Villa midfielder also caused havoc with a goalbound corner kick, and played numerous great balls over the top.
McGinn had one shot on target, made three key passes, delivered seven crosses, and completed two dribbles.
The Scotland international has been in great form recently, and some fans credited new Villa manager Steven Gerrard with improving him.
They noticed how he’s looking leaner and fitter, and is passing the ball more often rather than having a pop at goal.
Here is what Aston Villa supporters have been saying on Twitter about McGinn:
Mcginn all day

Can't relax yet, but that was a textbook first half performance. Luiz, McGinn and Ramsey in midfield have been unbelievable.

His wand of a left foot unlocked so many doors tonight – SJM is priceless to in this vein of form.
Evidence of Gerrard’s coaching: McGinn sliding in Ings where he would’ve almost definitely shot under Smith

Villa ran out 2-0 winners over Norwich as the impressive Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring on 34 minutes.
Ollie Watkins then doubled the Villans lead three minutes from time.
The result sees Villa rise up to ninth in the Premier League table, a remarkable turnaround under Gerrard.
