What Arsenal are privately thinking about the Rodrygo deal now after finding out how much he will cost them
Arsenal are not planning to stop in the transfer window after agreeing a deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres.
Andrea Berta wants to sign at least one more attacker for the Gunners this summer, and one of the targets is Rodrygo from Real Madrid.
Arsenal are keen on Rodrygo and have learned how much a deal would cost to bring the 24-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.
Now, the North London club have made it clear what would need to happen to bring the attacker to N5 this summer.

Arsenal don’t see great value in Rodrygo Goes deal
At this current moment in time, Arsenal don’t see great value in a deal to sign Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid, according to Ben Jacobs.
Two things would need to happen before the Gunners can sign the attacker: one of Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli would need to leave.
Then, Berta must work his magic in negotiating down the overall package involved in signing the Brazilian international.
Currently, Real Madrid want around £78m for Rodrygo, but on top of that, the Gunners would need to pay agent fees and Rodrygo’s wage.
Berta proved during negotiations for Viktor Gyokeres that he can drive prices down, and now he must do the same if Arsenal stand a chance of signing the 24-year-old.
Jacobs told Latte Firm: “I think Arsenal love Rodrygo, there’s no denying that, but for it to happen, Trossard or Martinelli must depart and the overall package would have to be deemed valuable.
“Andrea Berta proved with Viktor Gyokeres that he can drive prices down; the end deal was actually five million less, and that’s Andrea Berta all over – a bit of a maverick in the market.
“If he says he wants to leave, Real are open to sell for around 90 million euros, but you’ve got the wage and the agent fees, so Arsenal don’t see a great deal of value in the deal.
“If they’re going to move, they will need to bring in an important fee for either Trossard or Martinelli and secondly, Berta would have to work his magic to try and drive the overall cost of the deal down.”
Viktor Gyokeres could make Arsenal debut against Tottenham
are reporting that Gyokeres’ move to Arsenal is expected to be complete on Thursday.
The striker is due to travel to London and undergo his medical at London Colney before jetting out to Singapore to join his teammates.
Sporting accepted Arsenal’s £64m offer for Gyokeres and now the final documents are being exchanged for the deal to go through.
Gyokeres is expected in Singapore over the weekend, where his debut could either come against Newcastle United or, most likely, Tottenham Hotspur.
