Video: What Antonio Conte did just before Steven Bergwijn scored against Newcastle this weekend

Tottenham absolutely hammered Newcastle at the weekend and then watched on as Arsenal collapsed to a dismal loss last night to breathe even more life into the race for the top four.

Spurs’ second half masterclass against the Toon was a sign of just how well Tottenham can do under Conte. The Italian coach seems to be getting all of his ideas across to his team lately and the results are showing just that. Naturally, Conte is loving what he is seeing from the side lines.

In fact, you only have to look at Conte’s reactions to see how much he’s loving his team. It’s something that’s become synonymous with this new Tottenham age, so much so, that Spurs even publish their own ‘ every week. And in this week’s edition, there’s a nice moment just before Steven Bergwijn scored against Newcastle.

Pointed out by respected Tottenham Hotspur journalist, Alasdair Gold, Conte can be seen already grinning as the ball falls for Bergwijn. And as Gold says, there is an obvious acceptance from the Italian coach that his Dutch winger is going to take his chance.

TBR’s View: Bergwijn Can Prove His Worth To Tottenham

In Conte’s system, there is always a chance for anyone, but even more so the attacking players with pace.

Tottenham seem to grind teams down under Conte and their relentless nature seems to catch teams off guard on a weekly basis. And as the games tick into the final 15 minutes and more spaces open up, people like Steven Bergwijn can be crucial.

His speed, calmness in front of goal when he’s in form, and desire to prove people wrong means that Bergwijn will have another say in this top four race.
