What AC Milan have told Marcus Rashford as they try to sign him from Manchester United

TBR Football understands that AC Milan are pushing ahead with their bid to land Marcus Rashford after securing the sale of Noah Okafor.

Okafor has agreed to join RB Leipzig for around £20m freeing up squad place and giving the Italian giants some financial manoeuvrability.

AC Milan have been keen on Rashford for a while now.

Rashford is ready to leave Manchester United as he looks for a new challenge away from Old Trafford.

The attacker has had a torrid 18 months for the Red Devils, and he’s now ready to move on.

Tottenham were linked to Rashford this week, but it’s AC Milan who are now pushing on with a bid to sign the England international.

What AC Milan have told Marcus Rashford

AC Milan are one of a number of foreign clubs to have held talks with Rashford’s representatives including his brother Dwaine – who was in Italy earlier this week.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, understands that Milan have told Marcus Rashford he can play a significant part and most importantly new Milan head coach Sergio Conceicao, has confirmed his liking for the England star.

The deal Milan have put to United includes them covering half of his wages during his spell and an option to make the move permanent is likely, but unlikely to be an obligation.

Milan are looking at a few options aside from Rashford, coincidentally one of them is a player United and Ruben Amorim would consider bringing to Old Trafford in the shape of Francisco Trincao.

Rashford has been inundated with interest this week after Manchester United made it clear they would allow Rashford to leave on loan this month, after it became apparent that nobody would make a permanent bid.

In Italy aside from AC, city rivals Inter, Napoli and Juventus have shown an interest, as have German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

And as TBR Football confirmed, West Ham United have thrown their hat into the ring to take Rashford on-loan this month.

What Tammy Abraham has said about Marcus Rashford

If Rashford joins Milan this month he will be joining a number of his fellow England internationals.

Indeed, Milan have quite a strong English cohort at the moment.

Tammy Abraham, in particular, is a fan of Rashford, claiming a few years ago, via , that he’d love to play with the United ace.

“Who impressed me when I’ve been with England? Marcus Rashford,’ Abraham said.

“The way he strikes a ball. His skills. His good feet. The way he beats players.

“He’s just a joy to watch. I’d love to [play up front with him]”

Abraham said that he’d love to play up front with Rashford, and he may well get his wish if Milan manage to do a deal for Rashford.

Milan are on Rashford’s trail, and given how his English compatriots are getting on in Serie A, this move could be just what the doctor ordered for Rashford.
