What a very good source is saying about Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling and Arsenal ahead of transfer deadline day

Raheem Sterling needs a move before transfer deadline day, and a switch to Arsenal has been discussed.

Sterling to Arsenal is a move that makes a lot of sense.

The Gunners need a new versatile attacker, and Sterling knows Mikel Arteta well from his time at Manchester City.

Some pundits have tipped Sterling to join Arsenal, and the Gunners do appreciate the Chelsea winger.

However, unfortunately, it sounds as though this deal isn’t going to happen.

Speaking on The Arsenal Way YouTube channel, Kaya Kaynak has poured cold water on this deal, claiming that a source he really trusts has told him that there’s nothing in this rumour.

Raheem Sterling to Arsenal isn’t on the cards

Kaynak shared what a good source has told him.

“I think Arsenal will hopefully want to get another player in. I think a forward is on the agenda. I would love to see someone come in. I wasn’t against the Raheem Sterling deal, but I was told by someone who I trust deeply on these things that Sterling is not a player Arsenal are exploring. I know he seems very open to the deal,” Kaynak said.

Raheem Sterling may end up at Manchester United

Sterling won’t be getting a move to Arsenal this summer, but a switch to another Premier League giant could be on the cards.

Indeed, Raheem Sterling has been linked to Manchester United in a part-exchange deal that would see Jadon Sancho go the other way.

That would be a remarkable deal given that Sterling came up through the Liverpool academy and became something of a legend at Manchester City.

Logic would suggest that a move to United wouldn’t be in Sterling’s interest, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and after being frozen out of the Chelsea squad, Sterling is running out of time and options.

Sterling’s situation is certainly one to monitor over the next 48 hours as we approach the deadline.
