‘What a player he looks’…Danny Murphy blown away by £32m Newcastle star after PSG draw
Danny Murphy has issued his verdict on Tino Livramento after watching his performance for Newcastle United against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
Murphy was𒐪 speaking on after the 21-year-old shone inside Parc des Prin⭕ces on an agonising evening for Eddie Howe’s side.
It was certainly eventful for Tino Livramento. The former Southampton starlet started at left-back, tasked with going up🎐 against Ousmane Dembele.
Danny Murphy lauds Tino Livramento after Newcastle draw
Livramento was involved in Alexander Isak’s goal, going on a brilliant run across the PSGꦍ penalty area. And of course, it wa💯s the youngster who was penalised in stoppage-time for a controversial handball decision which allowed the home side to equalise from the penalty spot.

It was a real sick🔯ener for💫 Newcastle as a win would have put them on pole position to qualify out of their group. Now however, their fate is not in their own hands ahead of the final game.
Very little blame has been attached to Livramento. And Danny Murphy sౠuggested that he was so impressed by his performance against the Ligue 1 side.
“I’ve got to give a shoutout to Livramento before we get to the VAR, because I kn♓ow he’s waited his time to get in the team, but since he’s been in, what a player he looks,” he told .
“Great one on one defender, good going ✱forward, can play left or right-back. And we’ve got to get him in the England squad quick before he chooses Portugal. There’s only Luke Shaw ahead of him, for me, for form.”
Magpies vindicated after signing another right-back
It probably surprised many when Newcastle decided to pursue a move for Livramento in the summer. Obviously, there was no question over his talent. However, he was seemingly being signed to challenge an amazing servant in Kieran Trippier.
Newcastle have spent money. But they have not smashed transfer records. So it was quite something to 𒅌pay that money for Livrame🧸nto. And it may not have initially made a lot of sense despite his potential.
But they have been vindicated. Livramento is looking brilliant in both full-backs roles. And his performance against PSG was sen☂sational, and a real statement of intent for the future.
