‘What a hero’: Some Liverpool fans wowed by 24-year-old in training today
A number of Liverpool fans have praised Nat Phillips after seeing him score a superb effort in training today.
The 24-year-old stepped up for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds last season amid a major defensive crisis.
Phillips had made just one senior appearance for Liverpool prior to the 2020-21 campaign.

Last season, he made 20 appearances for Klopp’s side, including the full 90 minutes in three Champions League matches.
With Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip fit again, plus Ibrahima Konate joining in the summer, Phillips has slipped down the pecking order.
He’s yet to play a competitive game in 2021-22, and has missed out on four Premier League matchday squads.
That said, Phillips did make the bench against Crystal Palace, suggesting he’s still in Klopp’s thoughts.
And on Friday, the Liverpool Twitter page shared a of a superb curling effort he netted at Kirkby.
Some Liverpool fans praised him too, loving what they saw and calling for him to get more game time:
