West Ham’s Masuaku comments after he and Anderson dazzle vs Norwich
West Ham United defender has spoken about his relationship with Felipe Anderson, after the pair impressed at the weekend.
The pair put in brilliant performances against Norwich City at the London Stadium, with the Hammers running out 2-0 winners.
Attacking full-back Masuaku helped himself to his first assist since December 2018 with his cross for Sebastien Haller’s goal, while Anderson tormented the Canaries all afternoon with his movement, dribbling and playmaking.

Anderson was lauded for his contributions up top and Masuaku has explained the duo have been talking tactics in training.
, he said: “We enjoyed it, especially because we weren’t happy in the last game [against Watford] because we didn’t defend as well as we wanted.
“We spoke a lot in training in the week leading up to the game to try to make things better and help him understand more how I want him to defend and help me, and how we can attack well together.”

Masuaku and Anderson’s relationship on that left flank is getting stronger.

There have been question marks about Masuaku’s ability to defend as part of a flat back four in the past, but Anderson’s work rate seems to be really benefitting the full-back.
There is still work to be done in the defensive phase, and that will come the more they play together, but certainly they have shown they can be frightening going forwards and linking up together.
