West Ham will find out by next week whether ‘unbelievable’ target will join, they are front runners
West Ham United have been heavily linked with Kalvin Phillips in recent weeks and speculation continues to do the rounds.
Indeed, according to Ben Jacobs, the Hammers are now emerging as the favourites in the race to sign the Manchester City midfielder.
Jacobs, speaking on on Wednesday, said: “I’m told at the moment that it may be West Ham United who are emerging as the frontrunner there.”
Now, the Hammers may not have to wait too long before they know where they stand with regards to Phillips amid interest from numerous clubs.

West Ham would also have an even more amazing midfield, as Phillips would join the likes of James Ward-Prowse, Edson Alvarez, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta in claret and blue.
The Hammers have two domestic loan slots left, so they don’t have to decide whether to go for Phillips or another player as would be the case at Newcastle.
