West Ham United fans react as Everton player comments on Upton Park
Everton star Yannick Bolasie has claimed during a Q&A session on Twitter that the best atmosphere he has experienced was at West Ham United’s previous ground Upton Park – and Hammers fans have responded.
Bolasie, 31, has returned to Everton after a loan spell in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon. He remains on the books at Goodison Park until the summer of 2021, after signing a five-year contract in 2016 – following his £25million ().
In four years on the books at Goodison, Bolasie has managed just 32 appearances for Everton – suffering a cruciate ligament injury and going on loan to Sporting Lisbon, Aston Villa and Anderlecht. His future is up in the air this summer.
Speaking honestly on Twitter as he remains in limbo and unable to return to Everton training having not been registered with the Toffees due to his Sporting loan, Bolasie was asked by a fan about the best atmosphere – answering Upton Park.
Gotta be Upton Park (west ham) place was rocking

, West Ham were interested in the summer of 2018 in signing Bolasie from Everton – but a move never materialised and instead, Bolasie was loaned to Aston Villa during their promotion campaign to the Premier League.
West Ham supporters responded to Bolasie’s comments on Upton Park, and some reacted by suggesting that their club should consider a move to bring the former Crystal Palace ace back to London – while others reminisced about their previous home.
