West Ham United may have received a potential transfer boost in their reported pursuit of James Tarkowski, that Burnley are eyeing two centre-backs amid concerns over his future.
Tarkowski has long been linked with a move to the London Stadium. that the Irons had made a £27 million bid.
That report claimed that the Clarets had set a £50 million asking price for Tarkowski.
Perhaps unsurprisingly therefore, no move took place.
There were further links with the England international ahead of the January transfer window.
And it now appears that they could be eyeing a fresh move in this window.

Of course, Burnley would have always found it difficult to replace Tarkowski.
The 28-year-old has been a colossus for the Clarets, particularly since their most recent return to the Premier League.
Nevertheless, it still says a lot that Dyche seemingly feels that two centre-backs are needed amid speculation over Tarkowski’s future.
It highlights just how important he is to Burnley’s fortunes. And the club will certainly miss him hugely if he does leave.
The positive for West Ham is Tarkowski’s contract situation. that his deal at Turf Moor ends next summer.
So Burnley surely cannot demand anything like the £50 million they wanted last year.
And if he is not prepared to sign fresh terms, they may feel that they have little choice but to sell in this window.
