West Ham target Che Adams is a £10m gamble worth taking

West Ham are reportedly preparing a move to sign Birmingham City’s Che Adams.

, the Hammers could make a £10million move on deadline day of the January transfer window.

It is understood that Manuel Pellegrini’s side view the centre-forward as a potentially good addition at the London Stadium and could challenge Southampton for his signature.

Championship club Birmingham have no desire to offload their talisman, but West Ham should do their best to tempt him into a move to the top flight.

Adams would be a gamble given the fact he’s got no experience in the Premier League, but is a highly-rated talent with great qualities and may be worth the investment.

Adams has been on fire so far this season in the Championship, scoring 14 goals in 28 games across all competitions.

The 22-year-old striker is a someone with great pace to get behind defenders, while he’s got a physical presence too and has no obvious weakness.

West Ham are in a difficult place right now due to the fact they were dumped out of the FA Cup by AFC Wimbledon at the weekend and are involved in a fierce mid-table battle in the Premier League.

Pellegrini needs a couple fresh faces to lift his squad for the rest of the season and another striker option would make sense.

Adams could be relatively cheap at £10million if he goes on to reach his potential and West Ham could be a great platform for him.
