West Ham take lead in race for ‘complete’ centre-back with six-year contract on table

West Ham United have been fairly busy in the transfer window over the past few weeks and the likelihood is there’s more to come.

The Hammers have brought Luis Guilher🗹me, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman to the London Stadium this summ💦er.

West Ham have also sold four pl🧔ayers, with Flynn Downes, Said Benrahma, Thilo Kehrer, Nathan Trott all leaving for fees.

The Hammers are s💖aid to be⛎ looking for further defensive reinforcements, and one name in particular has been doing the rounds of late.

West Ham said to be favourites for Jean-Clair Todibo

The player in question is Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, w📖hose club has reportedly agreed a deal with West Ham for the playerꦕ.

And while there have been reports suggesting Todibo is only really waiting for Juventus to strike a deal, have now provided a more positive update.

The report claims that Juve are not willing to match Nice’s €32million (£27million) valuation, leavi🅰ng West Ham in pole position for h✨is signature.

In addition, the💖 Hammers are said to have offered Todibo a six-year contract, set to run until the end🐽 of the 2029/30 season.

And in contrast to some reports that have be♊en doing the rounds, CaughtOffside say the player is yet to decide on his next move.

Th♌e🤡 Jean-Clair Todibo transfer saga has been going on for a while and it has provided its fair share of ups and downs.

Based on this latest report, it looks like West Ham remain f🎃irmly in the race for his services, and hopefully there will be more concrete repo⛦rts in the coming days or weeks.

🌊Todibo, who stands at 6ft 3in, made 33 appearances for Nice as they finished fiꦓfth in Ligue 1 last season.

Iꦗn 2023, Jacek Kulig of deemed Todibo “the complete package” and “one of the most underrated CBs in Europe at the moment”.

West Ham have already convinced Nice by agreeing a deal, now they need to co🎶nvince the player to pick the London Stadium over the Allianz Stadium.
