West Ham: Striker to be given chance; Calleri wants Tevez inspiration; Cresswell discusses injury
It looks likely that Slaven Bilic will gi🍷ve another opportunit🉐y to forward Diafra Sakho as he nears a recovery from an injury which has seen him miss the start of the season and has plagued him on and off since 2014. Sakho was expected to depart the London Stadium this summer, and came close to a move to West Brom, only for it to fall apart at the final moment.
The claim that with Simone Zaza failing to impress and a number of key attackers o🍷ut injured, Bilic is prepared to give Sakho another chance to show what he can do ahead of the African Cup of Nations in January as ꦦhe hopes to get a call-up to the Senegal squad as seems likely.
One of the misfiring attackers is loanee Jonathan Calleri, who has vowed to show his best form in the coming weeks and has ta🐷ken inspirati🐷on from club legend Carlos Tevez, telling the :
I would love to follow in the footsteps of Carlos Tevez… We all remember how he saved the club from relegation and I hope I can achieve just a quarter of what he achieved here. The fans have not seen the be𒉰st of me just yet and I know I can give a lot more… The style of play here is very different and it can take a few months to settle in. I remember it took a while for Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to settle in and then they did really well. I am hoping that I can leave my mark at the club… I am finding it a bit difficult in terms of the language and the style of play at the moment. But I know in a few months time, once I have fully settled in that I will be able to show everyone what I can do and make the West Ham fans happy.
Tꦺhe Argentinean will be hoping to improve as he seeks to fire his side back up the league table after a poor start to the season both on a personal level and on a team level.
Another man who is hoping to inspire an uplift in form is left-back Aar🍰on Cresswell, who is hoping to be available for the clash against Crystal Palace this weekend. He discussed his injury :
I am 26 and this is the first big injury I have suffered during my career… There were some dark days d♔uring that time but I can now see some l💮ight at the end of the tunnel… Everybody told me to keep positive and that helped me get through it.
His return is great news for Bilic, and h♏e will be hoping for more good news at the weekend when he is in the dugout at Selhurst Park.
