West Ham round-up: Move for Belgian back on; £32million bid rejected; Sturridge could be available

🍷The  claim that West Ham United could resurrect their summer interest in Christian Benteke as the Belgian grows unhappy at Crystal Palace, with an on the field row with Andros Townsend the latest development as the Eagles battle relegation this season. Palace would not be keen to sell, but relegation may force their hand even if the ex-Liverpool man does not demand a move.

👍Sam Allardyce and co. would undoubtedly drive a hard bargain for a player who they paid a substantial fee for in the summer, but Benteke would be an ideal fit for the Irons and would also bring the proven Premier League experience that they are believed to be looking for.

🦂Benteke could have been a replacement for Andy Carroll, as the  believe that the Hammers turned down a bid worth £32 million from China for the former Newcastle forward. The club, and Slaven Bilic, feel that Carroll is vital to the club’s plans and style and are refusing to sell the target man, particularly when they would be unable to sign a replacement until the summer.

🔯However, with Carroll sidelined with yet another injury and believed to be one of the club’s top earners, it would not be a shock to see the club consider selling him at such a price.

𝓡If Carroll is sold in the summer, then the money could be used to fund a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge after Jurgen Klopp told the press that his future is not clear. The  report that he told the press:

⛦“I have no idea what happens in the summer. It is not only Daniel but a lot of players… We have to bring him back to the best shape possible and then bring this season to an end as successfully as possible. Then we will make decisions and speak about Daniel and any other players about what will happen at the end of the season. A lot of things will influence this and we can speak about it when it is time.”

♏The former Chelsea striker may only have scored two Premier League goals this campaign but he has struggled for starts at Anfield and could welcome a move to London where he would undoubtedly be first choice when fit.
