West Ham round-up: Competition for Sturridge; winger available; Bilic says season successful

☂The  say that West Ham could face a real challenge in their pursuit of Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, as whilst it seems that the injury prone forward could be sold by Liverpool and with Stoke the only other English club believed to be interested, French champions Paris Saint-Germain could too make a move.

𓆉The Hammers are desperately looking for a prolific striker to complete their squad and Sturridge is one of few players proven in the Premier League who they could afford in the summer as they look to make up for lost time after the flop signing of Simone Zaza on loan last summer.

♚One signing who has shown good signs in his first few months in London is Robert Snodgrass, and it is a real boost for the club ahead of their fixture against Chelsea at the London Stadium as  claim that the club have confirmed that the ex-Hull winger will be available for the London derby.

ඣThe Scottish international has had a warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to attend a hearing in Glasgow after he was charged for driving with a child not in a car seat. What will come next remains unclear for the winger, but the club clearly believe that he will be available tonight for the big game.

♋In spite of their transfer difficulties, Slaven Bilic feels positive about the club’s performance this season as he told the :

ꦍ“I consider this season as a great one. For me individually, and for the team, and for the club, because this season we experienced some negative things, some positive things, but mainly a lot of new things. I wouldn’t change it. I would change September and October. But after that, when you’ve made it and you get out of that, the experience is priceless and you benefit from it in the future.”

ไThe Croatian was believed to be close to losing his job at one stage of the season, but his future now seems secure as the tide has turned with results now picking up and performances improving.
