Liverpool fans rave about Hammers star after second-half moment against Liverpool on Sunday

West Ham produced one of the performances of the 2021-22 campaign to beat Liverpool 3-2 – and Liverpool fans have praised Lukasz Fabianski.

Fabianski, 36, continued to start between the sticks ahead of France international Alphonse Areola – despite the latter joining in the summer.

The Poland international has come under criticism at times, having only kept three clean sheets in his 10 Premier League appearances.

That run of form continued on Sunday, failing to Trent Alexander-Arnold scoring a free-kick – and then, Divock Origi swiveling an effort into the net.

But goals from Pablo Fornals and Kurt Zouma, and an own goal from Alisson, saw West Ham shock many and beat Liverpool in the Capital.

West Ham did have to ride their luck at times, though. Sadio Mane had a golden chance to score, but £65k-a-week () Fabianski stopped him.

What are Liverpool fans saying about West Ham star Fabianski?

Areola is a top, top goalkeeper. He has done it for PSG – keeping 53 clean sheets in 107 games for the French giants.

The stopper has played for France, for Real Madrid, and starred in the Premier League for Fulham. Fabianski, though, remains first choice.

He proved why on Sunday. His save came at a pivotal moment, as West Ham went on to win 3-2. A brilliant win, as the West Ham juggernaut continues.

Liverpool fans took to Twitter to applaud the West Ham ace for the moment in the second half – despite now conceding 13 in 11 league games.
