West Ham now favourites to sign one of the fastest players in the world

It’s no secret that West Ham United and David Moyes are in need of a new first choice striker in East London.

West Ham had plenty of chances to bury the game against Sheffield United yesterday, only to relinquish the three points late on.

Danny Ings showed so much desire and endeavour, but he ultimately didn’t have the finesse to score the winning goal.

Perhaps West Ham fans will sympathise with Ings, he’s clearly enduring a tough spell.

But the reality of the situation is that Moyes has needed a new striker long before Ings’ struggles.

33-year-old Michail Antonio is now regularly struggling with injury, and West ham need to deliver Moyes a new striker.

That being said, the club are now considered favourites to spend big on one Premier League striker this month.

Armando Broja has long been a target of Moyes, West Ham have had bids rejected in the past.

And according to , The Hammers are now considered the only side interested who are likely to get close to Chelsea’s valuation in January.

Of course, such a move does feel very overdue.

Jarrod Bowen has done a fine job through the middle on occasion but is still often needed out wide.

And although Broja may represent something of an injury risk, he’s often had issues over the years, he could really thrive under Moyes.

At 22-years-old, there’s still the strong feeling that we haven’t seen the best of Broja – he’s still got so much more to give.

The Albanian has so many excellent attributes, including his pace – with him once considered .

And with just over a week left in January, it’ll be interesting to see if David Moyes will finally get his new striker at West Ham.

The arrivals of Gianluca Scamacca and Danny Ings were intended to solve the issue, but neither have sufficed.

And whilst the lack of a potent striker seems to be the biggest problem to address right now at West Ham, one pundit held concerns over a midfielder in yesterday’s draw.
