West Ham now £4.2m away from striking deal for ‘incredible’ Euro 2024 forward
West Ham United have been looking to give new manager Julen Lopetegui all the tools he needs to hit the ground running at the London Stadium.
The Hammers were one of the Premier League’s busier teams in the first few weeks of the summer transfer window, making three signings in June and July.
Now, West Ham are reportedly on the verge of making a fourth signing, and a fifth could potentially follow not long after.
On Wednesday, Fabrizio Romano declared “here we go” on Crysencio Summerville to West Ham.
Now, Florian Plettenberg has reported that the Hammers have submitted a bid for an “incredible” striker who wants a move to the London Stadium.

West Ham submit new Niclas Fullkrug offer
The player in question is Niclas Fullkrug, who has impressed for Borussia Dortmund and the Germany international team over the past 12 months.
Plettenberg has reported that West Ham have made an official offer of €25million plus add-ons for the “incredible” 31-year-old.
The Sky Sport Germany journalist says Dortmund have “not yet rejected” the offer. However, they want ‘€30million all-in’, and West Ham ‘won’t pay that’.
Meanwhile, Fullkrug is “keen to join West Ham with immediate effect”, having been offered a contract until 2027 with a year’s option, added Plettenberg.
West Ham are also willing to drop out of the deal and pursue Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran instead, according to the reporter.
West Ham pushing for multiple new signings
Hammers fans haven’t exactly been starved of transfer action in recent weeks. Their club has made three signings and there have been other moves that haven’t quite worked out.
Now, West Ham are set to sign Summerville from Leeds, are just £4.2million away from striking a deal for Fullkrug, and there have also been links with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Carlos Soler.
After the Hammers’ disappointment in failing to qualify for Europe, it looks as though they’re determined to get back into the upper levels of the Premier League table in 2024/25.
West Ham certainly could do with a new striker to ease the goalscoring burden on the likes of Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen.
Fullkrug, who shone for Dortmund in their run to the Champions League final and scored for Germany at Euro 2024, seems like a really good shout for the Hammers.
