West Ham move for Michy Batshuayi would be a surprise considering David Moyes’ previous comments
West Ham United are again being linked with a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batsuahyi. the frontman is set to be forced out of Stamford Bridge this summer after failing to impress Frank Lampard. Countryman Dries Mertens is being lined up as a replacement from Napoli and Batsuahyi will be looking for a new club.
West Ham, according to the report, are one of the teams who remain positive on the idea of signing Batshuayi.
However, it would not seem to add up with manager David Moyes previous stance on the striker.

In his previous stint as Hammers boss, West Ham were also consistently linked with a move for the Belgian frontman. Moyes was even spotted in the crowd as Chelsea took on Norwich.
However, that he was not interested in Batshuayi at that time with West Ham after midfielders.
“Categorically, I did not go to Stamford Bridge to watch Batshuayi or any other player in particular. I like to get out and watch plenty of matches, I hadn’t seen Norwich this season and there were some players there who had been mentioned to me as having been doing well.”
That backed up a report . They claimed that Moyes was ‘already having doubts’ about the Belgian as he did fit the role required.
West Ham continuously have their name linked with Batshuayi but, the current evidence suggests that he is not a player Moyes has or ever will be keen on.
£170,000-a-week wages and West Ham’s current attempts at lowering such expenditure, it would be a shock move from the Hammers at this point.
