West Ham make key January transfer decision over Luis Guilherme’s future

Since he arrived from Palmeiras in the summer, 18-year-old Luis Guilherme has made just two appearances for West Ham United.

In total, under Julen Lopetegui, Guilherme has played 11 minutes of football for West Ham🧔, all of which have come in the Premier League thus far.

The Hammers were warned that Guilherme would need time to settle at West Ham𒁃, and the club are seemingly being very patient and methodical with his involvement, a talent who should be set for big things.

That being said, TBR Footballꦯ understands that a number of clubs have expressed an interest in taking the Brazilian on loan in January.

West Ham not interested in letting Luis Guilherme leave in January

🎉Clubs from his native Brazil, as well as sides in Belgium, France, and in the EFL Championship, have made enquiries about Guilherme’s status.

🧸However, as it stands, West Ham are not looking to let Guilherme leave in the New Year, even on a temporary basis.

❀The youngster has settled well into London life and is also not in a hurry to leave the London Stadium.

ꦇGuilherme wants more game time but he is looking to fight for his place under Lopetegui, who’s still undecided on his best eleven.

ꦆTBR understands that if Guilherme is still without a league start once January arrives, the situation may change, but as it stands the Brazilian will not be leaving West Ham.

Julen Lopetegui’s comments about Luis Guilherme now very interesting

According to reports, Guilherme hasn’t impressed in West Ham training🌟, which might be contributing towards his lack of chances.

ꦫEither way, Lopetegui’s comments about Guilherme back in July are now intriguing, given he perhaps hasn’t had the chances that many envisioned.

✱The West Ham manager backed Guilherme to ‘adapt early’ given his quality, something that arguably hasn’t happened, at least in terms of his first team involvement.

🧔Speaking after a pre-season draw, Lopetegui said: “He’s very young and a good player.

🌜“Of course he has to make his adaptation in England, but normally the good players can adapt early.

🎃“We have to help him do that as soon as possible. He’s a very interesting player for us.
