West Ham make contact to sign £20m right-back who has been compared to Kyle Walker
West Ham have now moved to bring one of Italy’s best right-backs to the London Stadium.
Tim Steidten is keen to improve that area of the squad for Julen Lopetegui, with West Ham also showing a desire to sign Manchester United No.29 Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
However, that deal could prove quite expensive as the Red Devils spent £50m to sign the Englishman, so West Ham have now enquired about a player who is valued at much less…
West Ham make Raoul Bellanova contact
A story from in Italy now claims that West Ham have been in touch with Torino to enquire about Raoul Bellanova.
The Italy international was in superb form last season, scoring one goal while also providing seven assists in 37 Serie A appearances.
La Stampa believe West Ham have been told by Torino that Bellanova will cost €25m (£20m) – although interest from Roma and Aston Villa could see a bidding war commence.

The Italian news outlet add that Torino ideally want to keep the 24-year-old for at least one more season, although every player has a price, and the financial disparity between Serie A and the Premier League could see West Ham or Aston Villa take advantage, in our view.
Tim Steidten could sign the new Kyle Walker for Julen Lopetegui
Bellanova is not a household name in English football, so West Ham fans may appreciate a comparison to a better known player.
Interestingly, the Italian has been compared to Kyle Walker.

It was actually Bellanova himself who likened his talents to those of the England international, DAZN: “As the years went on, I started to take inspiration from Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker. I can see myself in him, we have the same sort of physical and technical qualities.”

The Manchester City No.2 has arguably been the best right-back in England for the last decade, so if West Ham sign Bellanova, and he can deliver even 50% of what Walker has over the years, it may prove to be a £20m bargain.
