West Ham in talks over £17m-rated ‘golden boy’ from Champions League club
West Ham United have been fairly busy in the transfer market over the past few weeks and it doesn’t look as though they’re done yet.
The Hammers have already signed three new players this summer, bringing Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman to the London Stadium.
West Ham have also been linked with a host of players, including Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, Villarreal’s Alexander Sorloth and Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Now, speculation is intensifying regarding the Hammers and their pursuit of a “golden boy” who plies his trade for a Champions League club.

West Ham in talks with AC Milan over Alexis Saelemaekers
The player in question is AC Milan winger Alexis Saelemaekers, who has been linked with a host of other Premier League clubs besides West Ham.
According to , the Rossoneri have been talking with the Hammers – and Leicester City – for days regarding the 25-year-old.
Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town are also said to be in the picture for Saelemaekers, who Milan have priced at €20million (£17million).
Calciomercato explains that Saelemaekers is considered a ‘golden boy’ by Milan, where he is appreciated as a player and as a person.
Despite this, he is not part of their plans moving forwards. He shone on loan at Bologna last season but talks over a permanent move fell through.
Therefore, the Rossoneri are looking to find a solution for him, with the Premier League now deemed his likeliest destination.
The feeling from the club is that offers for him should start arriving next week, added the report.
What could Saelemaekers bring to West Ham?
Saelemaekers is a solid talent who has clocked up 140 appearances for Milan – plus 32 for Bologna – and has played 12 times for Belgium.
Aside from being described as a ‘golden boy’, Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo also noted how he scored a superb chip ‘a la Totti’ in the crucial win over Roma in April.
Saelemakers scored his side’s third goal in the 65th minute of the match at the Stadio Olimpico.
Fans on social media have likened Saelemaekers to the likes of , and .
Meanwhile, Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout described him as a “very, very good” player with “elite passion and determination”.
All in all, he looks like a good shout for West Ham, so this is certainly one to watch in the coming weeks.
