West Ham have just agreed fee of over £15m to sell ‘unbelievable’ player

It now finally seems as if West Ham United may have made a breakthrough in their attempts to sell one player before this week’s deadline.

David Moyes’ side seem to be working diligently to progress their squad in the final days of January.

And whilst West Ham appear keen to sign a player or two, with Jota and Ibrahim Osman’s names often mentioned, departures seem to be just as important.

Pablo Fornals was strongly linked with a move to Real Betis in the past week or so, one that may gather place again.

Danny Ings still has plenty of suitors, with West Ham braced for a ton of interest on deadline day.

Moreover, that also leaves Said Benrahma, who has often been considered the most advanced of any departure.

And to that point, journalist has just shared that West Ham have now agreed a fee to sell Benrahma to Lyon.

Agreeing a fee has seemed a sticking point for a deal, which hasn’t quite reached its conclusion yet.

West Ham agree fee with Lyon to sell Said Benrahma but deal not finished yet

Rosser shared his update on X this afternoon and did point out that a deal wasn’t quite completed.

The journalist said that ‘‘ Benrahma was yet to decide whether he wanted to move to the French side, with a few details still to be sorted.

Rosser said: “West Ham and Lyon have agreed a fee of just over £15million for the sale of Said Benrahma.

“Deal not done yet though. Benrahma yet to decide on whether to move and there are still details to sort out with his representatives on the Lyon side.”

Of course, if this deal is able to be finalised, and West Ham can sell Benrahma, it could prove a catalyst for further business.

Moyes’ side are thought to be in a strong financial position already, but such a transaction would help keep their squad size in check.

That being said, it seems as if West Ham could still have a surprise move in the pipeline.
