West Ham have just agreed deal to sell ‘incredible’ player they signed in 2022

According to a journalist, West Ham United have now agreed a deal to sell a David Moyes signing.

The Hammers have been very active in the summer transfer window under the stewardship of newly appointed manager Julen Lopetegui.

The former Wolves boss has already added Luis Guilherme and Max Kilman to his ranks and is now targeting a striker, with Jhon Duran close to joining.

Though, to facilitate more signings, they’ll need to offload players, too.

With that said, they have just agreed a deal to sell a 2022 signing.

West Ham agree deal to sell Flynn Downes

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has taken to X to report that West Ham have agreed a deal with Southampton for the sale of Flynn Downes, who has been labelled ‘incredible’ via the .

Sheth adds that Downes has now been granted permission to have a medical with the South Coasters and it looks as though a deal could be announced within the next couple of days.

At this stage, there has been no word on how much West Ham are receiving but given they outlaid £12m on his signature, it’s likely to be in excess of that figure.

Now, the funds can be allocated towards further additions, with Matias Soule thought to be back on the radar.

West Ham join race for Matias Soule

With a decent fee set to arrive for Downes, West Ham could now make an offer for Juventus wide player Matias Soule, who is of interest to Leicester City and Roma.

The 2003-born has an asking price of £33m, so it won’t be an easy deal to do for The Hammers.

Soule netted 11 times on loan at Serie A side Frosinone last season and has been capped at youth level for Argentina.

It remains to be seen if Downes’ sale is allocated towards a deal for the Juve man.
