West Ham goalkeeper Adrian praises Leeds stopper Kiko Casilla
Kiko Casilla was left a spectator during Friday night’s excellent 4-0 win over West Bromwich Albion – and the Leeds United ace has earned the praise of West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian on Instagram.
Leeds got their hunt for Championship promotion back on track by annihilating Darren Moore’s side. Pablo Hernandez set the tone with a wonderful strike from 20 yards in just 16 seconds.
Patrick Bamford then scored a brace. His first came with an excellent finish after a superb through ball from Tyler Roberts, before Roberts solo run saw him find Bamford – whose left-footed effort was deflected into the net.
Gjanni Alioski got the fourth after good work from Jamie Shackleton, and Casilla reacted on Instagram by describing the win as a “magical night at Elland Road”.

Casilla clocked up his first clean sheet since joining Leeds in the summer, but that has been no slight on his performances. Indeed, the one-time Spain international has been excellent since joining the club.
Leeds travel to Ashton Gate on Saturday to take on Lee Johnson’s play-off contenders Bristol City. Three points could see them return to the top of the Championship table. Adrian applauded Casilla in the comments, describing him as a “genius”.
TBR’s view
Casilla has starred since joining Leeds. Though the Whites have conceded in all of his outings up until Friday’s 4-0 win, the Spanish star has added an assurance at the back.
His ability on the ball has also helped Leeds, with Bailey Peacock-Farrell inferior to the ex-Real Madrid star. The Northern Ireland international will now be pondering his future at the club, given that Casilla is the number one.
