West Ham United supporters have been reacting to reports on Thursday that the club are interested in re-signing former winger Dimitri Payet.
, the Frenchman as emerged as a possible target for David Moyes, who recognises the need to add quality to a struggling squad.

The Hammers are just one place above the relegation zone but share the same points tally as Bournemouth and Watford (23) in 18th in 19 respectively.
Payet previously spent one-and-a-half seasons at West Ham, before departing in January 2017 in controversial circumstances.
It was claimed the player refused to play for the club in order to seal a move back to Marseille.
He got his wish, and at the time some fans were very vocal about their dislike for his actions.
Talk of a return to the club for Payet is, therefore, particularly interesting.

Whether he would be accepted by everyone is one thing, and whether he’d actually be able to make a big difference to a struggling team is another, since he is now 32 years of age.
West Ham fans react
Predictably, the reaction from supporters on social media to reports about a possible return for Payet was very mixed:
The Payet rumours are back. He left on bad terms but he could be the one to save us from this mess ⚒

It’s not the solution though. We need to invest properly. We have 0 pace. I think it’s too late already with our remaining games. ⬇️

However much I loved him in a WH shirt, I don’t think he’s the solution. Age also piling up….

Swallow the pride and use him like he used us.. we need help more than ever if we want to stay in the prem

I do not care how he left. If Payet can keep this shambolic impression of our west ham football club up he writted his wrongs.
