West Ham fans react negatively to Javier Hernandez injury return

Javier Hernandez is set to be available again for West Ham at the weekend – and some of the club’s supporters have responded negatively to the update.

West Ham host newly-promoted Norwich City on Saturday in the Premier League and will be hoping for three points ahead of the international break.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini confirmed in his pre-match press conference () that Hernandez has has recovered from a “small knee injury”.

The 31-year-old was absent from the squad in the league victory over Watford last weekend, as well as missing the mid-week win against Newport County in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

But the centre-forward is back in contention against Norwich and he did feature in the opening two league games of the season.

The Mexico international was given a late cameo in the opening day defeat to Manchester City, but started against Brighton and scored a vital goal in a 1-1 draw.

Hernandez is an experienced player that has proven he’s a clinical finisher during his time in England, but he hasn’t been a regular starter at the London Stadium.
