West Ham fans react negatively to Javier Hernandez injury return
Javier Hernandez is set to be available again for West Ham at the weekend – and some of the club’s supporters have responded negatively to the update.
West Ham host newly-promoted Norwich City on Saturday in the Premier League and will be hoping for three points ahead of the international break.
Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini confirmed in his pre-match press conference () that Hernandez has has recovered from a “small knee injury”.
The 31-year-old was absent from the squad in the league victory over Watford last weekend, as well as missing the mid-week win against Newport County in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
But the centre-forward is back in contention against Norwich and he did feature in the opening two league games of the season.
The Mexico international was given a late cameo in the opening day defeat to Manchester City, but started against Brighton and scored a vital goal in a 1-1 draw.
Hernandez is an experienced player that has proven he’s a clinical finisher during his time in England, but he hasn’t been a regular starter at the London Stadium.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media have oddly reacted negatively to Hernandez’s return and clearly don’t rate him.
Sebastien Haller looks like being the main option in Pellegrini’s team this campaign, but having someone like Hernandez up your sleeve is surely a positive.
Here are some West Ham fans on Hernandez:
if you think hernandez is important to us, you’re the clueless one.

sell him quick

Don’t you dare play him.

I’d rather play Ajeti

Funny that, just in time to go and play for Mexico.
If only he put in the same effort he does for Mexico at West Ham

I like Chicha, but would rather we play Ajeti up top with Haller if that’s the way we are going. The lad has a hell of a lot of potential and the only way to get used to the EPL is to get minutes. Nothing against Chich but I honestly think he’s on a rapid decline…
