West Ham fans react as they are linked with Monaco attacker Henry Onyekuru
West Ham are being linked with a move for Monaco attacker Henry Onyekuru – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by claiming they should avoid him as a target.
, West Ham are joined by Fenerbahce, Basaksehir and Galatasaray in showing January interest in him.
It is explained that French Ligue 1 side Monaco would accept a loan bid this mont of £1.3million, which includes a £4.9million option to buy.

Onyekuru, who previously joined Everton but didn’t play a game due to work permit issues, has been on the fringes at Monaco this season.
The 23-year-old winger has made just four appearances all season, but he’s shown in the past his quality.
He’s previously scored 30 goals in 60 games for KAS Eupen, plus 17 goals in 56 games for Galatasaray and 10 goals in 28 games for Anderlecht.
The quick left-winger has proven his talents in the Belgian and Turkish leagues, but whether he could replicate that in the Premier League remains to be seen.
The Nigerian wouldn’t solve the striker problem at West Ham even if he joined, which is why the speculation is a little odd.
Here are some Hammers fans on social media discussing Onyekuru:
Not really feeling this move is it turns out to be true. He hasn't really done anything at a top level of football. Never made it for either Everton or Monaco but he looks decent with Galatasaray.
Other options out there that would better suit us imo

He’s never been able to secure a UK work permit, and only scored 1 goal in last 2 seasons? Not for me thank you

Given our striker scouting record in the last decade, I obviously have the highest faith we will get a gem..

Not sure about this, rather wait to do better.

Adds nothing to the team. Pass

So the real targets are starting to emerge from the smokescreen of the £30m players we're supposedly bidding on
