West Ham fans react as Southampton reportedly eye Ryan Fredericks
Southampton are reportedly interested in signing West Ham United defender Ryan Fredericks this summer as the Saints look to sign a right-back – and West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter to the news.
Fredericks, 27, joined West Ham on a free transfer from London side Fulham in 2018 but has struggled since moving to the London Stadium. The ex-Tottenham man has endured numerous injuries and a lack of momentum.
He has played just 45 times for the Hammers in two seasons. Now, Fredericks has been linked with a move away from the Hammers with Southampton have become alerted to his ‘potential availability’.

Renowned for his pace and guile at right-back, Fredericks has struggled to impress West Ham fans. With two years remaining on his contract, though, it remains to be seen how much West Ham will want for his signature.
Cedric Soares has completed a permanent move to Arsenal after his contract at Southampton expired. Kyle Walker-Peters remains on loan at Southampton from Tottenham, while Yan Valery is an option.
West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Southampton are reportedly interested in signing Fredericks in the coming months, and many are keen to wave goodbye to the defender.
What kind of fee do you realistically think we could gain from his sale? £10-12m??
