West Ham fans react as Marko Arnautovic comments on Arthur Masuaku’s Instagram
Marko Arnautovic has prompted enormous reaction from West Ham United supporters over the last 24 hours after suggesting he wants to return to east London with a comment on Arthur Masuaku’s Instagram Live.
Arnautovic, 30, left West Ham last summer to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG. Such a move dominated the last six months of Arnautovic’s two-year stay at the London Stadium, with many criticising the attacker.
Arnautovic struggled after failing to get his move to China in January 2019, but he ended his time at West Ham with excellent stats – netting 22 goals in 65 Hammers appearances, and laying on 12 assists.
Since his £22million ( move to Shanghai SIPG, Arnautovic has continued his excellent form – netting 10 goals in 16 games before the global health crisis. He commented on Masuaku’s Instagram, suggesting he wants to return to West Ham.
He said: “Tell them that West Ham need me, I come bro no worries.”

Arnautovic’s best form for West Ham came during the spell in which David Moyes took over from Slaven Bilic. Having failed to score a Premier League goal before Moyes’ arrival halfway through the season, Arnautovic ended with figures of 11 goals and eight assists.
Despite pushing for a move to China and his poor form after failing to secure a move 18 months ago, Hammers fans have reacted to his comment on Masuaku’s post and are desperate for him to return.
