West Ham fans react as club posts injury update on defender Ryan Fredericks
West Ham have announced that right back Ryan Fredericks will be out of action until next month.
He picked up a hamstring injury in the 2-0 FA Cup third round win against Gillingham yesterday and will look to return to action before the end of February.
Hammers Head of Medical Richard Collinge said: “Ryan injured his hamstring while chasing back late in the first half and was assessed immediately before undergoing a scan.
“He will now begin a period of rehabilitation and recovery, with the plan being to return to action before the end of February.”

Many Hammers fans took to Twitter to bemoan the news and encourage their club to spend some money on a replacement in the January transfer window.
As it stands, Pablo Zabaleta is the only experienced right back available to David Moyes, with Sam Byram having been sold to Norwich in the summer.
Zabaleta himself is only a short-term fix anyway, and could well leave the club in the summer when his contract ends, so it remains intriguing to see what West Ham will do in terms of their right back situation now.

Wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t shouting at the ref resulting in him having to sprint back.
