West Ham fans praise Said Benrahma after performance in Brighton draw
West Ham rescued a point late on away to Brighton on Saturday night – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter praised their goalscorer Said Benrahma for his individual performance.
The Hammers left the Amex Stadium with a point after a 1-1 draw against Brighton, which before a ball was kicked would’ve been a disappointing result.
However, Benrahma’s 87th minute equaliser meant that David Moyes’ side didn’t leave empty-handed, as it cancelled out Danny Welbeck’s 84th minute opener.
West Ham are mathematically still in the hunt for Champions League qualification with two games remaining due to the fact they are five points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea. But it’s more likely they’ll be nervously looking over their shoulder to try ensure they finish in the European positions.
The Irons weren’t able to find the spark at Brighton, and have hit a dip as the pressure cranks up at the end of the season.
It seems unlikely they’ll end up in the top four now, but playing in the Europa League next year at the London Stadium would be deemed a big success.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media believe Benrahma was a massive positive for them.
The 25-year-old attacker curled in a superb effort from outside of the box to knick a point, and it was remarkably his first goal for the club since his summer move from Brentford.
Here are some West Ham fans discussing Benrahma:
Benrahma > Bowen
Fans need to get off he's back and let him have a run of games.

Great goal from Benrahma but that was a shocking display from us

Tough game to watch, especially the 1st half… top 6 finish is in jeopardy.
But the big positive to take away is Benrahma’s absolute screamer in the back of the net to bag his first for !— Josh Harrison (@Likely_Josh)
The only positive from today’s game, it’s will massively boost Benrahma’s confidence ⚒⚒⚒

Happy for the lad! Finally gets his goal. Let’s hope he pushes on now and starts banging them in.

The ONLY positive tonight was Benrahma got his first goal, and it was an important one too, not to mention a cracker.
