West Ham fans praise Felipe Anderson’s performance in 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth

David Moyes’ first game since being reappointed as West Ham’s manager could hardly have gone any better yesterday.

The Scot has a reputation for being a dour manager but his Hammers side ripped Bournemouth apart 4-0 at the London Stadium, recording a crucial win in the fight for survival.

And he also managed to get a goal out of Felipe Anderson, who lost his way somewhat under Manuel Pellegrini, the man who brought him to the club.

Anderson rounded off the scoring after a Mark Noble double sandwiched an acrobatic Sebastien Haller strike on an evening where everything went right.

Many supporters took to Twitter to praise Anderson’s performance, signifying something of a return to form and a reward for his workrate.

They want to see it on a consistent basis as the Hammers seek to pull clear of the relegation battle and clamber into midtable – something they are more than capable of on the quality of the squad.

Moyes will hope Anderson can continue the form he showed yesterday if his reign is to go better than many fans might fear. More goals like this one would be a good start.
