West Ham fans pleased they are reportedly in talks to offload Lucas Perez
West Ham centre-forward Lucas Perez is reportedly in talks about his exit – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are pleased with the speculation.
The reports that West Ham’s attacker is holding discussions with Spanish top-flight club Alaves about a summer move.
It is understood that the 30-year-old is close to exiting and will depart for around £2million.
He’s found it difficult at the London Stadium finding regular football, with the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez ahead of him this season.
The Spanish striker featured just 19 times across all competitions this campaign and did score six goals in return.
Perez could make a return to La Liga, where he’s proven himself to be a decent goalscorer for Deportivo La Coruna.
But it’s not quite happened for the left-footed ace in England, with underwhelming spells at Arsenal and now West Ham.

A selection of West Ham fans on social media don’t believe Perez will be missed at the London Stadium and haven’t seen enough from him during his year with the club.
It may be slightly harsh to judge him given his lack of opportunities, but he’s clearly not done enough to convince manager Manuel Pellegrini he is worthy of regular minutes.
Here are some West Ham fans that will be glad to see the back of Perez:

Happy someone paid over $1 for him to be honest.

Very happy as we never should have bought him, admittedly he hasn’t been given much of a run in the team mainly because when everyone is fit he was way down the pecking order as he isn’t very good

Good move all round I reckon
