Most West Ham fans overjoyed at Felipe Anderson’s impressive debut
West Ham United defeated Aston Villa 3-1 in their latest pre-season friendly last night. The game, played at Walsall’s Banks Stadium, was an exciting affair and gave West Ham fans another glimpse at the work Manuel Pellegrini has done with the team.
It is fair to say, Hammers fans are so far impressed.
This performance deserved the result and there was also a debut for the club’s record signing.
Felipe Anderson joined from Lazio earlier this month in a deal reported to be in

It was an eye-catching transfer considering his previous links to some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
He played the first 45 minutes of the game and West Ham fans were certainly not left disappointed. Anderson showed some wonderful touches and vision throughout the half, getting fans on their feet on numerous occasions.
His best moment came in the build-up to the first goal. His sublime reverse pass found Arthur Masuaku down the left, whose cross was converted by the lethal Marko Arnautovic.
His partnership with Masuaku throughout the game was a reason for Hammers fans to be excited.
The majority of West Ham fans were suitably impressed on Twitter…

Some unreal football was played in that game. Anderson had a fantastic half and so did jack Wilshire. Diop and Ogbonna work pretty well together imo. Overall a promising game.
