West Ham fans impressed by Felipe Anderson in pre-season defeat
Felipe Anderson got 45 minutes under his belt in a pre-season loss to Manchester City on Wednesday – and some of the West Ham fans on Twitter raved about their attacker.
The Hammers ended up suffering a 4-1 defeat in the Premier League Asia Trophy, but the friendly encounter was evenly poised at half-time.
Mark Noble’s converted penalty had put Manuel Pellegrini’s side in front before the comeback from Manchester City.
Anderson was part of the side that took the field in the first-half and he was one of the standouts on the pitch.
The 26-year-old attacker operated from the right instead of his preferred role on the left and looked a major threat.
He won his side a penalty after turning defender Angelino inside out to give away a penalty and was direct with the ball at his feet.
Anderson scored 10 goals and supplied five assists in 40 games across all competitions last season for West Ham, which was a decent first year in England.
But the dazzling Brazilian wide man is capable of taking his game to another level if he’s more consistent in the final third.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media singled Anderson out for praise following his pre-season performance.
Here are some West Ham fans commenting on Anderson:
