West Ham fans don’t want to sign striker target Gonzalo Higuain

West Ham are reportedly interested in Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded by stating they don’t want to sign him.

, West Ham have expressed an interest in the 31-year-old.

The report details that the Hammers have asked about a loan deal for him, but it would cost around £36million to buy him on a permanent basis.

Higuain was frozen out by Serie A giants Juventus last season and had two loan spells away from Turin, before returning in the summer for pre-season.

The Argentine scored eight goals in 22 games for AC Milan, before netting five times in 18 matches in England with Chelsea.

He’s a deadly centre-forward well renowned for his finishing, as he’s clinical in the penalty area and strong in the air.

But he wasn’t quite able to make the desired impact at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea and perhaps looks past his peak.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media are convinced that Higuain wouldn’t be the right fit for them and that looking elsewhere would be a smart move.

They have given a massive thumbs down over a potential swoop for the Juventus frontman and believe he’s past his best.

Javier Hernandez is the sole striker option at present going into the new campaign, but versatile ace Michail Antonio can play through the centre too.
