West Ham fans discuss Arthur Masuaku’s return in win over Wolves

West Ham United returned to the top four of the Premier League with a 3-2 away win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Monday night – and Hammers fans are surprised at how good Arthur Masuaku was, in what was his first game since December.

The Hammers came into the match with the chance to return to the top four after both Tottenham and Chelsea failed to win over the weekend. They got off to a flyer, Jesse Lingard continuing his brilliant goalscoring form of late.

The England ace went on a brilliant solo run before finishing, his sixth in eight games for the Hammers. It was 2-0 not soon after, Pablo Fornals finishing superbly after a strong pull back from £6million () signing Masuaku.

Jarrod Bowen came on to nab a third before half-time, after replacing Michail Antonio. But it was a somewhat close game in terms of chances, and Leander Dendoncker netted just before half-time to make it 3-1.

With the Hammers recently surrendering a 3-0 lead to Arsenal in a similar position, the Hammers might have been nervy – and even more so after Fabio Silva scored. But they held on to win the match, and climb into fourth place.

Masuaku last played for the Hammers in December but was forced to undergo knee surgery. He started on Monday night and impressed for the London side – prompting enormous praise from Hammers fans on Twitter.
