West Ham fans criticise Sebastien Haller after Leicester loss

Sebastien Haller completed 90 minutes in the heavy defeat away to Leicester City on Wednesday night – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter ripped into him for his performance.

The Hammers were beaten 4-1 at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League fixture and it means they are only above the relegation zone on goal difference.

Hosts Leicester were dominant in the first-half, with Harvey Barnes and Ricardo Pereira on the scoresheet for them.

David Moyes’ side did reduce the deficit early in the second period with Mark Noble’s penalty, but Ayoze Perez ended up scoring a brace to complete a comfortable win for the Foxes.

West Ham have to face runaway leaders Liverpool in their next league fixture and it’s worrying times right now for them.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media were left fuming with Haller for his contribution in midweek.

The 25-year-old French striker did earn the penalty that Noble scored, but for the most part he was left isolated in attack and he struggled to make the ball stick with him.

He cost the club a staggering £45million () in the summer from Eintracht Frankfurt and six goals in 23 games so far doesn’t justify that price tag.

Moyes needs to see that he’s better with a forward up top alongside him and need to try play to his strengths.
