West Ham fans critical of Sebastien Haller’s performance against Crystal Palace

West Ham suffered an away defeat to Crystal Palace on Boxing Day in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter ripped into forward Sebastien Haller for his performance.

The Hammers were beaten 2-1 at Selhurst Park, as the visitors let a one-goal lead slip and it leaves them in a precarious position in the league table.

Manuel Pellegrini’s team sit 17th in the division after losing to Palace and are only above the relegation places by a single point.

Robert Snodgrass did put West Ham in front in the 57th minute with a curling left-footed effort, but the score was levelled by a goal from ex-player Cheikhou Kouyate.

Jordan Ayew’s stunning individual goal then won the game for hosts Palace with a 90th minute lofted finish.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media were not pleased with the efforts of Haller, who is enduring a difficult first season in England.

The French striker did score the winner in the previous match against Southampton, but has just five goals in 18 games across all competitions this season and was expected to light up the London Stadium.

He was substituted off in the second-half after failing to provide a serious goal threat, as he battled away in attack.
