West Ham fans ask to see £20m player recalled on Sunday

West Ham host London rivals Arsenal this Sunday in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have claimed they are desperate to see Said Benrahma recalled to the team.

West Ham’s official Twitter account uploaded a tweet Wednesday showing popular attacker Benrahma in training.

It’s since received a wave of messages from some supporters begging Hammers boss David Moyes to play him this weekend.

Benrahma, who cost the club £20million plus add-ons (), has shown some flashes of brilliance since his arrival from Championship club Brentford.

But the 25-year-old trickster is still trying to find his best form.

He’s a versatile attacker that can play in various forward positions, but he’s arguably at his best as a left-winger taking on his full-back one-on-one.

The Algerian wide player has five assists in 23 games across all competitions this season. Unfortunately, he’s still got the burden hanging over him that he’s yet to score for his new club.

A selection of West Ham supporters on social media are adamant that Benrahma needs to be back in the team after starting just four of the last five league games.

He scored 17 goals last season in the Championship for Brentford, so everyone is waiting for him to burst into some goalscoring form.

Here are some Hammers fans discussing Benrahma:
