West Ham duo couldn’t have had more different fortunes this term
West Ham United got busy last summer.
The club moved on from David Moyes and appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager.
The board then backed the Chilean with over £100 million to buy new players ahead of the 2018/19 season.
There were a number of news faces arriving through the door at the London Stadium, including Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop, Fabian Balbuena and Ryan Fredericks.

The Hammers also brought in Jack Wilshere and Felipe Anderson – one free, and one a club-record signing.
Both were deemed fine signings as they posed for photographs during their joint unveiling on July 24 (), but the pair have certainly had contrasting fortunes this term.
Anderson’s ascension, Wilshere’s woes
Anderson has largely been a breath of fresh air at the London Stadium barring a few quiet games here and there.
The Brazilian has been a mainstay in the starting XI, and has contributed nine goals and three assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

He has wowed supporters with his flair, and his recent form has seen him get called up for international duty for the first time since the 2016 Olympics.
On the flip side, Anderson’s fellow summer signing Wilshere has had a nightmare first season for his new club.
After making five appearances at the start of the season, he then suffered an ankle injury and needed surgery as a result.

Recently he returned to training but the foot joint is still ‘causing him some trouble’, .
Apparently he could now miss the remainder of the season, which would see him continue watching the flourishing Anderson from the stands.
