West Ham: Club react to Chelsea interest in star man; Zaza agent hits out; Feghouli red card appeal

claim that Michail Antonio will be offered a new contract in an attempt to persuade him to remain a Hammer amid interest from Chelsea, with Antonio Conte reportedly considering him a top target for the January transfer window to add depth to his side. Antonio has scored eight goals this season and been in tremendous form and the club do not want to sell.

The Irons will make it very difficult for Chelsea to come to any agreement and they are helped by the fact that Antonio still has three and a half years remaining on his current contract with the club, but they may still fear that Chelsea’s wealth and race for the title may encourage the winger to try to force a move.

Simone Zaza has failed to impress whist in east London with no goals in any of his 11 appearances for the club, and now he’s made matters worse off the field as his father and agent Antonio Zaza :

“We don’t know anything yet, we still have no official news. We’ll have to see what happens. Simone has a great desire to return to play in Italian football, and we have to choose the most suitable destination for him and for Juventus… Now we’re trying to bring Simone back to Italy because he loves this country. We didn’t choose West Ham. No-one forced us, but Simone never wanted to go abroad, he loves Italy and Serie A. A series of circumstances led to him going to the Premier League… Now he’s gone and we look to the future.”

The Italian is expected to leave the club in the coming weeks to complete a return to Italy after a move to Valencia fell apart following Cesare Prandelli’s resignation.

The club has also decided to appeal against the red card issued to Sofiane Feghouli by referee Mike Dean for a challenge on Phil Jones in the first half of the clash with Manchester United, claim .

The decision was a controversial one which attracted criticism from fans, pundits and coaches alike, but if the appeal is successful then the Algerian will be available for the FA Cup clash with Manchester City on Friday night.
