West Ham fans furious with Arthur Masuaku in Arsenal capitulation
West Ham United were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal at the London Stadium last night. The Hammers led at the interval but three goals in nine second-half minutes saw the Gunners home.
With the sacking season in full swing, Manuel Pellegrini must be desperately hoping that he can revive West Ham’s fortunes.
The Chilean is in a perilous position right now and his team must get something at Southampton on Saturday.

Angelo Ogbonna opened the scoring against Arsenal. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang meant another miserable night, however.
The game turned in the 51st minute when Aaron Cresswell was forced off and replaced by Arthur Masuaku.
Cresswell had done a solid job man-marking Pepe but Masuaku wasn’t as effective and the Gunners winger began to move through the gears.
The 26-year-old has only started five games this season. He is typically pretty reliable but last night he was given the runaround by Pepe.

West Ham fans were furious with the man who signed for the club for £6.2 million from Olympiacos
It seems clear that supporters believe the game was gone the moment he came on the pitch and they’ve taken to Twitter to state as much.
We looked at a selection of Tweets from Hammers supporters on Masuaku’s cameo offering:
Masuaku is the worst footballer I’ve ever seen

Some have been calling for Masuaku's inclusion, as though he was some kind of 'saviour'.Based on what ?One piece of skill against Spurs. The reality is Masuaku is crap, and should be nowhere near the team !

Good morning. Arthur Masuaku is a truly awful player. It’s been clear since he joined West Ham in 2016 and it beggars belief he wasn’t sold ages ago.

Just watched that. In Spanish. It's an awful season with little hope left.
Masuaku at fault for the last two. He's too casual and gave too much room. Pellegrini ultimately at fault for Masuaku, who didnt look match sharp from being anonymous for weeks.

A game basically decided by, er, the quality of the replacement left-backs. Kolasinac has his faults but he can certainly overlap and play cut-backs, whereas Masuaku just looked hapless against Pepe, who was the only player here really making things happen

Part of the collapse was due to Masuaku coming on for Cresswell. Shocking player – only rated by some people because he does fancy stepovers
