West Brom transfer: Baggies linked with £60k-a-week Liverpool misfit
West Brom have emerged as frontrunners to secure the signing of Liverpool talent Harry Wilson, Cardiff, Swansea and Brentford are all also in the mix.
The Baggies will embark on another season playing Championship football during 2021/22. Their stay in the Premier League proved short-lived and Valerian Ismael is the man tasked with taking the team forward.
The new manager has been busy adding to his squad. He has taken Alex Mowatt from Barnsley on a free, whilst Matt Clarke has joined on loan from Brighton.

Now, the boss will look to bolster his attacking ranks. Right-winger Wilson is firmly in his sights and Liverpool are willing to let him leave this summer.
One stumbling block could be the Reds’ desire to sell the player as opposed to another loan. Benfica and Porto are keen on the player too but have also baulked at the asking price of £15 million.
If a transfer can’t be sought for Wilson, another loan could be on the cards. The winger scored seven goals and claimed 12 assists last season during a loan spell with Cardiff.
The player has no future at Liverpool. Having risen through the youth ranks, he has made just two appearances in the first team.
Wilson has spent time on loan with Crewe, Hull, Derby and Bournemouth as well as with the Bluebirds last season.
Wilson to West Brom: International star could see Baggies win promotion at a canter
Ismael’s team will already be among the promotion contenders. If they land Wilson, they might just be transformed into title challengers.
Wilson is an astonishing performer at Championship level. He has excelled with every team he has played for in the second tier and he’d be a class signing for the Baggies.
Liverpool will want to ensure they sell Wilson in order to fund their own recruitment plans. If they can’t, however, getting some of his wages off the books with another loan would still be ideal.
The trickster would thrive at West Brom and he’d be a signing to truly excite the club’s ardent supporters.
